Pediatric Dentistry
Our doctors believe a trip to the dentist should be fun, lighthearted, and not something to fear. The way your child is exposed to dentistry lays the groundwork for how they view dental care and dental visits for the rest of their lives. Our team loves caring for their patients, and work hard to make sure each child is spoken to gently, treated with respect, and cared for as if they were our own child. We use simple words to explain procedures to our patients and make sure each parent or guardian is aware of the process as well.

Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Aaron Akhavan
Dr. Akhavan was raised in the quiet suburbs of Plainview, NY. He went to Yeshiva University where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology. Afterwards he went to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine and graduated with honors in community oral health.
Following dental school, Dr. Akhavan completed a General Practice Residency at New York Medical College where he gained more expertise in the various disciplines of dentistry. The next step in his journey was at Maimonides Medical Center where he specialized in Pediatric Dentistry, allowing him to pursue his ultimate goal of treating the dental needs of children. In his second year there, Dr.Akhavan was chosen to serve as Chief Resident. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and is boards eligible.
In his free time, Dr. Akhavan enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 wonderful children, who are following in his footsteps of slowly accumulating a small collection of LEGO sets.
